Are the controls on your wood burning boilers outsourced?

All wood burning boiler controls made by Wellons FEI are designed and manufactured in its entirety by our expert personnel. We think of it as a way to increase quality control and cut costs so that our customers obtain an efficient product at a reasonable price.

Can you do turnkey projects or do you simply provide the equipment?

We offer both options to our customers. If you only need a wood burning boiler, we can provide you with one quickly. If you require installation, maintenance or any other services related to our products, we will gladly take care of your needs.

Do your wood burning boilers have an automatic ash extraction system?

Yes. The mobile grate extracts ash, rocks, sand and other non-flammable contaminants and transfers them to the ash extraction conveyors.

When should I stop using my wood burning boiler in order to clean it?

If you use your wood burning boiler regularly, the unit should be cleaned about every six months in order to maintain its efficiency and durability.

Can your wood burning boiler systems burn anything?

Forestry biomasses are favoured. Other materials must be part of a more detailed evaluation in order to determine if contaminants are present. Some contaminants can become a source of corrosion and may even change the classification of the unit from a biomass wood burning boiler to an incinerator.

Are your systems considered neutral for carbon dioxide emissions (CO2 neutral)?

Yes. Biomass is a renewable source of energy that does not contribute to adding greenhouse gases and their effects.

How long does it take to do the mechanical installation of one of your wood burning boiler systems?

Most of our wood burning boilers already have the refractory liner installed in our shop. This lets us save a lot of time during the on-site installation. Normally, the mechanical components of our wood burning boilers can be installed in two to three weeks.
